• Challenge: Traditional instructional methods often struggle to engage employees effectively, especially in diverse learning environments with varying levels of prior knowledge.

• Solution: To address these challenges, I utilize animated explainer videos. These visually appealing videos break down complex concepts into engaging content that caters to diverse learning styles, enhancing clarity and accessibility.

• Growth: Incorporating animated explainer videos in learning design yields significant improvements in learner engagement and retention. Studies show up to a 95% message retention rate with video compared to 10% with text alone. My designs capitalize on this by integrating compelling narratives and visuals, ensuring educational content is both consumed and retained.

For this week's challenge, I found an opportunity to learn more about making Storyline content accessible to everyone and to share that knowledge while I'm at it. 

• Challenge: As someone who makes a lot of proprietary how-to videos, I aimed to showcase my video production abilities while still offering valuable insights to a broader range of viewers.

• Solution: To achieve this, I decided to use a Storyline project I had previously developed for a different challenge as the focal point of my video demonstration.

• Growth: I thought I knew how to make my Storyline projects more accessible, but there was a better practice. This is also my first upload to YouTube, so I learned about incorporating captions to ensure the accessibility of my video content.
